  1. What is the Medical & Travel Assistance?
    • This applies for customers who travel outside their country of residence within a stipulated period. If the customer suffers serious injury or sudden sickness, or if he/she needs medical, legal or administrative emergency assistance during the overseas trip, services and benefits will be available directly from AXA ASSISTANCE. All that is required of the customer is to call AXA ASSISTANCE 24-hour alarm center, on collect call or reverse charge basis.

  2. What kind of Medical Assistance is included?
    • We have a wide variety of Medical Assistance. Please refer to the list below for some examples. Alternatively, you may wish to view the section "Medical & Travel Assistance".

      Examples of Medical Assistance:
      1. When the customer has difficulties understanding local languages, customs or procedures, our operators will reach out to him by providing pertinent information, such as medical recommendation and opinion, or the location of a nearby clinic or hospital.
      2. If the customer is not able to get to a clinic or hospital due to his/her condition, we will arrange for a doctor or dispatch medication.
      3. For customers who face more serious medical condition, we can arrange for his hospitalisation, medical evacuation and/or repatriation to his country of residence.

  3. Who will bear the costs of Medical Assistance services?
    • AXA Assistance can provide various options in terms of coverage, thanks to its relationship with Insurance and Reinsurance companies. AXA Assistance can also work with your preferred Insurance company. Please contact us for details.

  4. Will the customer's family be entitled to this service?
    • Yes, we can extend benefits to the customer's immediate family members and relatives.

  5. Is coverage worldwide?
    • Yes. Except for the customer's country of residence, services are available worldwide, even in remote areas.
